Née en 1988 à Morong, Philippines. Vit et travaille à Houston, Texas
Jeune artiste américaine de 33 ans, originaire des Philippines, Dan Lam créé des objets étranges et envoutants dont les qualités polymorphes, multi-texturales et ambiguës confondent et enchantent le spectateur. Difficiles à identifier, ils semblent sortir tout droit d’un monde parallèle où les radiations ont modifié en profondeur le moindre élément organique.
Formes irrégulières qui dégoulinent, couleurs saturées et duel de textures, les sculptures de Dan Lam interrogent et attirent tout à la fois. Recouvertes d’un habillage piquant telle la peau d’un cactus, elles font naître l’insatiable désir de toucher ce revêtement étonnant, de s’y piquer.
Dan Lam est exposée dans plusieurs galeries américaines, en Allemagne, en Suède et à la galerie Artima depuis 2019.
