Born in 1999 in Aix-en-Provence, where he still lives and works.
ARPE ONE discovered the world of graffiti at the age of 15. It was alongside other graffiti artists that he began to express himself freely and wildly on walls. Tagging, painting and leaving his mark wherever he looked quickly became an obsession that would have a profound influence on the rest of his life. Four months before passing his baccalauréat, ARPE decided to abandon his studies and devote himself entirely to painting, moving from the streets to the canvas. Used to the walls and the adrenalin rush, the transition was difficult. He turned his bedroom into a studio and experimented with different styles and materials, while retaining the fundamental elements of graffiti. These multiple series quickly attracted the attention of professionals on the Aix-en-Provence scene.
In 2019, he took part in several art fairs and, at the age of 22, won over his first gallery in Paris. His style is evolving, notably with the use of stencils that he makes himself and applies to coloured backgrounds with graffiti lettering. Instinctively, he chose the theme of childhood. His childlike silhouettes deliver messages that resonate with him as symbols of a desire to return to innocence and purity.
ARPE has now moved to a real studio at the foot of the Montagne Sainte-Victoire. Together with other established artists, he continues to grow and develop, and he is now multiplying his collaborations.
